The city of Miami Gardens is getting ready for one of the most highly regarded and anticipated music festivals of the season: Jazz In The Gardens! This weekend, host DL Hughley will welcome a stellar cast that includes Stanley Clarke, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Rowland, LL Cool J and Boney James to celebrate the ninth edition of the festival.

The Jazz In The Gardens 2014 is all about top-class performers, starting from the host. This year, the event organized at the Sun Life Stadium, which garnered more than 60,000 guests last spring, will be hosted by celebrity comedian, author and radio personality DL Hughley. What better choice than one of the funniest standup comedians? Get ready…at Jazz In The Gardens you will laugh a lot!

The Jazz In The Gardens weekend experience will kick off with a pre-festival celebration and the omen’s Impact Conference & Luncheon on Friday, followed by more after parties, shopping, community events and much, much more.

Saturday night hot live music

The musical performances at the Jazz In The Garden 2014 will start with two local acts: Uniir Band (4 pm) and bassist Jay Jones (4:30 pm). Next on stage will be four-time Grammy Award nominee and Soul Train Award winner Boney James (5 pm). The Lowell-born smooth jazz saxophonist will present his most popular tracks, including tunes from his latest album The Beat.

At 6:20 pm, it will be time for one of the greatest self-contained R&B bands of our time: Mint Condition. The group, who is celebrating their 20th anniversary and that was chosen by Prince as one of his favorite acts, will bring their explosive music on the Jazz In The Gardens stage. Get ready for some hard-bitten funk with a hip hop edge, rocking out with screaming lead guitar, and crooning lush, “baby-making” soul ballads!

On Saturday night, Jazz In The Gardens will welcome one of the stars of the 2014 edition. At 7:40 pm, Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum superstar Kelly Rowland will step on stage at the Sun Life Stadium. After years of success with the R&B trio Destiny’s Child, Rowland has continued to be one of the most popular R&B singers in the country.

The R&B invasion at Jazz In The Gardens will continue with the charismatic Trey Songz (9 pm). Trey Songz really has it all: he is a multiple-time Grammy Award nominee, Soul Train Awards and Bet Award winner and has plenty of fans around the world. If you want to know how the new wave of R&B sounds like, Trey Songz should be your choice.

The Saturday night at the festival will end with a very special guest (10:30 pm). He is an Academy Award and Grammy Award winner, an actor, comedian and successful musical artist… ladies and gentlemen, he is Jamie Foxx! Do we need to add anything else?
