Celebrating its 20th anniversary this summer, the Paris Jazz Festival continues to be one of Europe’s top summer jazz events. Initially named “À Fleur de Jazz” and getting the name “Paris Jazz Festival” in 1998, it’s an event that, only last year, has welcomed something like 120,000 patrons.
This edition (7 June – 14 July) follows the success formula of previous years and combines a roster of prominent local heroes and international stars.
8 weekends and over 30 concerts that feature artists such as Grammy Award winners Snarky Puppy (a few weeks ago, its leader Michael League was guest of the Jazz Spotlight Podcast), Joshua Redman, Italian jazz group Paolo Fresu Quintet, Kyle Eastwood (son of the legendary Clint) and the Afro-influenced sounds of Manu Dibango….this is Paris Jazz Festival 2014!
