Established in 2002, the Rochester International Jazz Festival has been one of the East Coast’s most-anticipated summer highlights. After the success of last year, with about 195,000 music enthusiasts attending the event, the festival is back with versatile lineup.
World’s renowned artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Fourplay, Michael McDonald and Buddy Guy and young stars like Janaelle Monae Cécile McLorin Salvant and Cyrille Aimée will perform at multiple venues throughout the downtown of Rochester’s East End cultural district, including the popular Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music and Hatch Recital Hall.

Since its establishment in 2002, the Rochester International Jazz Festival has been growing, quickly becoming one of the most popular summer events on the East Coast. In 10 years, its audience grew from 15,000 patrons of 2002 to about 162,000 in 2010.
Last year’s record in attendance, 195,000 festivalgoers, might end up being a thing of the past after this year’s edition. In fact, the Rochester International Jazz Festival is back with an incredible lineups that features performers for listeners of all ages.
